What is Genspark?

Genspark is an AI "super agent" workspace, built by MainFunc, Inc., that goes beyond a chatbot to actually finish knowledge work: it can research a topic, produce slide decks, spreadsheets, documents, images, and videos, and even place real phone calls to complete a task, all from a single prompt with no coding required.

Rather than routing every request through one model, Genspark uses what it calls a Mixture-of-Agents architecture — an orchestration layer that breaks a task into pieces and routes each piece to whichever of 30+ underlying AI models and tools fits best, then assembles the pieces into a finished, editable deliverable.

Genspark was founded in 2023 by Eric Jing (CEO), Kay Zhu (CTO), and Wen Sang (COO) — engineering veterans from Microsoft Bing, Google Search, and Y Combinator-backed Smarking — and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with additional offices in Singapore and Japan. Since its Super Agent launched in April 2025, the company has raised several funding rounds reported in the hundreds of millions of dollars and, per its own and third-party reporting, crossed $250M in annualized revenue within about a year — one of the fastest revenue ramps reported in the AI agent space. Reported total funding and valuation figures vary across sources, so exact numbers should be treated as approximate.

Core Features

Super Agent

The core orchestration engine: plans a multi-step task, researches the web, and routes each sub-task to the best-fit model or tool via a Mixture-of-Agents system spanning 30+ underlying AI models.

AI Slides

Generates a complete, editable slide deck — including researched content, structure, and generated visuals — from a prompt or a pasted URL.

AI Sheets

Builds and populates spreadsheets automatically: collecting data, writing formulas, and constructing templates from a plain-language request.

AI Chat

A research-and-answer chat interface that searches the web, cross-checks sources, and can convert its findings directly into slides, docs, or sheets.

Call For Me

Places and conducts real phone calls on the user's behalf — for example restaurant bookings or appointment scheduling — and returns a recording and summary of the call.

Autopilot

Gives an agent its own cloud computer to operate directly, so it can complete browser-based, multi-step tasks that go beyond what API integrations alone can reach.

AI Drive

Centralized storage for files the agent generates or works with across Slides, Sheets, Docs, and other tools.

How to Use Genspark

  1. Sign up at genspark.ai — the Free plan requires no credit card — and open the AI Chat / Super Agent interface.
  2. Describe the outcome you want in plain language, for example "review market trends and build a board-ready deck" or "find 20 sales leads in the fintech industry and add them to a sheet."
  3. Super Agent plans the task, researches the web, and routes each sub-task to the best-fit underlying model or tool through its Mixture-of-Agents system, rather than relying on a single model for everything.
  4. Review and refine the output directly in its native editor — AI Slides, AI Sheets, or AI Docs — with follow-up prompts instead of starting over or exporting to another tool.
  5. For tasks that need a real-world action, use Call For Me to have the agent place an actual phone call (for example a restaurant booking or appointment) and return a recording and summary, or use Autopilot to let an agent operate its own cloud computer for browser-based tasks that go beyond what API integrations can reach.
  6. Store and manage generated files in AI Drive, and track credit usage against your plan's monthly allowance from the account dashboard.

Use Cases

  • Turning a request like "review market trends and build a board-ready deck" into a finished, editable slide presentation with researched data and generated visuals.
  • Building and populating a spreadsheet automatically — finding leads, filling in data, writing formulas, or constructing templates — instead of assembling it by hand.
  • Having an agent place a real phone call on your behalf, such as booking a restaurant table, following up with a vendor, or confirming an appointment, and returning a call recording and summary.
  • Researching a topic in AI Chat, cross-checking sources, then converting the findings directly into a slide deck, doc, or sheet without switching tools.
  • Running longer, browser-based tasks such as multi-step form-filling or web navigation via Autopilot, which gives an agent its own cloud computer rather than relying only on API integrations.
  • Consolidating research, communication, and content creation (docs, slides, sheets, images) into one workspace for teams that would otherwise juggle several separate AI tools.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Produces finished, ready-to-use deliverables — slide decks, spreadsheets, docs, images, and videos — rather than just chat answers, and lets you keep refining them in a native editor instead of exporting to another tool
  • Call For Me is a genuinely unusual capability among AI agent products: the agent places and conducts an actual phone call to complete a real-world task, then returns a recording and summary
  • The Mixture-of-Agents architecture routes each sub-task to whichever of 30+ underlying models fits best, instead of forcing one general-purpose model to handle research, writing, image generation, and voice all at once
  • AI Chat and image generation run at zero credit cost on paid plans through the end of 2026 per Genspark, so a plan's credit allowance is reserved for heavier jobs like Slides/Sheets generation or Autopilot tasks
  • The Free plan requires no credit card and still includes 100 credits per day, enough to evaluate the core workflow before committing to a paid tier

Cons

  • There's a steep jump between individual tiers: Plus is $19.99–$24.99/month for 10,000 credits, while Pro costs $199.99–$249.99/month for 125,000 credits — roughly a 10x price increase for 12.5x the credits, with no plan in between
  • Company financials are reported inconsistently across third-party sources — total funding is cited anywhere from about $535M to $645M, and 2026 valuation estimates range from roughly $1.25B to $2.6B — so any specific figure should be treated as approximate rather than official
  • Call For Me has drawn real-world misuse concerns after reports, particularly in Japan, of people using it to make sensitive calls (such as resignations) on their behalf, which is worth being deliberate about
  • As an orchestration layer over many third-party models and tools, output quality and behavior for a given task depends on which underlying model Genspark routes it to, which isn't something the user directly controls
